Stoke-on-Trent Matters

The City of Stoke-on-Trent has one Conservative Member of Parliament and is being run by a coalition of Conservatives and independents on the city council.

We are passionate about delivering affordable and common sense local government that is not crippled by party politics but which listens to and works with residents to create a better future for the City of Stoke-on-Trent.

We are aware of the challenges we face. We believe that there is great potential for our city – potential to once again become a power house of manufacturing. Ceramics, clean energy and engineering can give Stoke-on-Trent a great future.

Stoke-on-Trent is on the up. The Conservatives are leading the way in investing in frontline services after years of misguided cuts by the Labour Party. We have invested over £5m extra to resurface local roads and pavements, investing over £10m into historic buildings (such as Spode/Longton & Tunstall Town Halls) and are improving social care, recruiting more care workers at the City Council.

Nationally, the Conservative Party in government is backing Stoke-on-Trent, with such initiatives as the City Deal and granting our city a Enterprise Zone, to bring high tech ceramic manufacturing jobs back to Stoke-on-Trent.

The future of Stoke-on-Trent is only safe with the Conservative Party.
