Plans for private sector investment into a 3,600 seater arena on the Etruscan Square site in Hanley have been cancelled by the Labour Council administration.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council is set to create a new role to promote, celebrate and represent the city as it gears up for its Centenary celebrations. The first office holder is Conservative Councillor Ross Irving, the city's longest serving member of the Council.
