STOP THE WAR ON MOTORISTS
Jonathan Gullis MP has launched a petition to stop the war on motorisits.
His petition is calling on Stoke-on-Trent City Council to:
- Formally note its rejection of 15 Minute Cities that restrict vehicle movements along with any notion of introducing a Low Emission Zone or Congestion Charges in Stoke-on-Trent
- Protect residents’ freedoms and their mental health by committing to not introduce any restrictive type of 15-minute city, Low Emission Zone or Congestion Charge Scheme in Stoke-on-Trent.
- Recognise that there are other, more productive ways to reduce Co2 levels and Stoke-on-Trent already has a good track record when it comes to green policies.

"Each day, in my inbox, on surgeries and when out and about in the local community, residents tell me their concerns about crazy ideas like Sadiq Khan's ULEZ scheme coming to our great city of Stoke-on-Trent.
These schemes simply punish motorists who want to go about their daily lives without facing unnecessary charges and route changes. But shockingly, Labour nationally want to see it expanded to towns and cities across the UK.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council must rule similar measures for our city out immediately - and I have started a petition on their website to put this forward."
